The company was founded in 2001 by Dwight Aspinwall and Perry Dowst in a former wool factory in Guild, New Hampshire, and debuted with its products at the Outdoors Retailers trade fair in 2003. In 2006, the company moved its headquarters to Manchester, New Hampshire and in 2012 was acquired by Wisconsin-based Johnson Outdoors.
